Data/ML Engineer (M/W/D)

Your Tasks:

• In interdisciplinary teams of consultants and experts, either work remotely (with residency in Germany) or in our Berlin or Hamburg offices.  
• Occasional on-site visits to clients in Germany, Europe, and worldwide might be necessary (subject to prior agreement with YOU) 
• Share your knowledge with your colleagues through regular Share and Grow Sessions. 
• Acquire and develop your skills through education/certifications based on your individual development plan (training, workshops, etc.) 
• Combine knowledge of data pipelines and machine learning to run ML projects for our clients
• Work together with Data Scientists, DevOps Specialists, Analysts, and Stakeholders to develop models using various statistical methods such as classification, forecasting, basket analysis, etc.
• Analyse, prepare and process business data
• Contribute to architecture discussions and use common cloud platforms and tooling
• Guide the development team according to the intentions behind the solution design and the nature of the data
• Counsel the clients on the feasibility of proposed ML solutions for the given problem and support follow up decisions for maintenance of existing systems

What we expect:

• Professional-level English communication skills 
• Functional German language skills or willingness to develop them within a reasonable period of time 
• Presentation and communication skills, in particular, the ability to explain complex analytical concepts in a comprehensible way to both technical and non-technical audiences 
• Residency in Germany or willingness to relocate to Germany 
• Training in a STEM field 
• At least 3 years of experience in AI/ML, or comparable data-intensive/number crunching/statistics-heavy work
• Solid knowledge of big data storage in data warehouses and data lakes, ideally on cloud platforms
• Knowledge in one of the three hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Deep knowledge of at least one common RDBMS and its SQL dialect
• Experience in No-SQL systems
• Profound Python/R experience
• Practical experience in ML libraries and/or their cloud-hosted versions
• Practical experience in data processing libraries like Hadoop and Spark and/or their cloud-hosted versions
• Experience using SVC and CI/CD tools
